Prandelli Urges Juventus to Target Italian Stars Tonali, Donnarumma, and Calafiori
Former Cesare Prandelli believes Juventus should prioritize signing “at least two” Italian internationals from the Premier League this summer, as part of a broader push to rebuild a stronger domestic core.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of Juventus’ Champions League play-off second leg against Galatasaray on Wednesday, Prandelli recommended targeting Sandro Tonali, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Riccardo Calafiori.
"At least two of Tonali, Donnarumma, and Calafiori," he told the outlet, emphasizing the importance of bringing in players who can strengthen Juventus’ Italian core while complementing their existing squad.
Prandelli also highlighted that Juventus still have work to do internally before focusing on the summer window. "After strengthening with Yildiz, I would immediately renew Spalletti, Vlahovic, and McKennie if I were at the club. A way of saying: ‘there’s the base, we’ll come to the rest later’."
Reports suggest one of these recommendations is already close to fruition: multiple outlets indicate that Weston McKennie is on the verge of signing a contract extension in Turin, securing his future at the club.
Prandelli’s comments underline his view that Juventus’ next transfer strategy should balance foreign signings with top Italian talent, giving the team a stronger identity for the coming seasons.
